I created my independent business ‘Spoonful of Nana’ in 2013 To empower women and families in this new life they have before them. I also wanted a space to be able to explore my work as a nanny, the daily insights as my life as a mumma plus some hints and tips to make family life a little easier!
I feel information is so easy to find from the click of a button that I wanted to challenge these families to be able to think for themselves and honour their individual style. To listen to their gut instinct and go with it.
A mother knows her baby the best... you are enough to care for your child, you don’t need all the gadgets, you just need time space and belief in yourself.
About Me - Sophie
I strive for the simple life – long walks in the countryside, experimenting with new delicious recipes, getting lost in my
own thoughts and feeling uplifted with my family, my friends – my ‘tribe’.
In January 2018 we welcomed our first daughter, and although I've been a nanny for over a decade, I've never been a mother, and this is a whole new journey!
I’ve always loved being around young children and babies, so my chance to go to Norland College was a natural step. In 2007 I graduated with a Merit Diploma, friends for life and a chance to be involved in though crucial years of child development.
My role is that of nurturing the mother for her in turn to nurture her baby. I truly believe a happy mother is a happy home... and what better way to do that than bond with your baby, with the support of a circle of friends, or to feel empowered by using gifts from Mother Nature in the form of doTERRA essential oils.
Babies and children are our best teachers – to have that insight from such a little person is so powerful… all we have to do is quiet the busy mind; watch, listen and love.
